Ready to build your seating chart? Awesome - use the steps below to get started!
If you're not sure where to begin don't worry we've got you covered with some expert advice on creating seating charts.
Step 1:
Go to your Plan tab and select Create a Seating Chart:
Step 2:
On your Events page you’ll also see the option to Create Seating Chart next to each of your existing events.
Step 3:
Once you click the "Create Seating Chart" option you’ll launch our Seating Chart tool. You can add as many sets of tables as you need! Don't worry if you add too many or not enough, you can add or remove tables later too.
Step 4:
Now the fun begins! You’ll see your guest list on the left side of the screen. From this section you can search for specific guests, filter your guest list , and add additional guests. To create your tables simply drag and drop your guests individually or select multiple guests and add them all to the same table.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Guests that are grouped as couples/families will automatically be sat together when you drag them to a table, however you can move individual members to different tables from there (ex. if you had a children's table, you could move the kiddos from a family to that spot!)
- To edit a table's name or number of seats, click into the gear icon on that table to open the table settings. You can customize the names of your tables to be more specific like "College Friends," or "Coworkers", etc.
- We’ll autosave your progress so you don’t have to worry about stopping or losing your hard work!
- The Seating Chart tool isn't available in our app just yet, but you can create and edit your chart from a computer.
When you’re finished and ready to use your seating chart you can download it as an Excel Sheet to print out or have handy on your phone or tablet.
